SKE – Type C reinforced bearing is supplied with upper and lower vulcanise steel plates with or without holes for bolts/dowels to anchored with substructure and superstructure. This steel plates provide protection against bearing slipping when vertical load on bearing is low thus allowing positive fixity. Steel plate enables the bearing to be bolted to external steel work, allowing the potential for the bearings to be externally fixed or guided. An example of type C bearing is shown in the data sheet.
The Type C laminated elastomeric bearings comply to the latest Eurocode EN1337-3. Each Type C laminated bearing is subjected to quick production test before dispatch to site. Strict quality control on every material and manufacturing process is monitored for complete traceability. A design service is available to assist engineers in selecting standard and non standard sizes of bearings.
